Professional Expertise

Mechanical watchmaking is a narrow discipline. It rewards experience over equipment, and time spent over tools owned. Our head watchmaker trained over many years before opening this workshop, working on vintage pocket watches, early wristwatches, and contemporary mechanical calibres of varying complexity.

That breadth means we encounter most conditions regularly — worn pallet stones, cracked mainsprings, corroded jewel settings, missing cannon pinions. We know what is routine, what is unusual, and when a piece is beyond sensible repair. We will tell you which category yours falls into.

Communication Throughout

One of the most common complaints in watchmaking — and in any skilled trade — is that customers feel left out of decisions about their own property. We address this directly. You receive a condition summary after the initial examination, a plan and cost agreement before any significant work, and an update if anything unexpected is found during disassembly.

We encourage questions. A watch owner who understands what was done and why is more likely to care for the piece well going forward, which is good for the watch.

Transparent Pricing

We publish starting prices for each service. The routine care service begins at ฿4,300, dial refresh and hand service at ฿8,600, and complete heirloom restoration at ฿14,700. Final costs depend on what the piece requires, and we confirm those costs in writing before starting.

There is no charge for initial assessment beyond what is agreed in advance. If you decide not to proceed after seeing the written plan, the watch is returned without any obligation.

Measurable Outcomes

We use a timing machine to measure rate across multiple positions after service. The results tell us whether the movement is performing as it should, and we share those readings with owners who want to see them. A watch serviced by us should keep time within a range appropriate to its movement type and age.

For heirloom restoration, the goal is dependable daily running combined with conserved original condition. We do not chase precision figures at the expense of the movement's long-term health.

We approach every older piece as something to conserve rather than simply repair. That means minimising material removal, preserving surface character, and choosing reversible interventions where possible — principles borrowed from museum conservation applied to practical watchmaking.

Hand-Made Replacement Parts

For older movements where original spare parts are unavailable, we can fabricate certain components by hand. This capability is unusual outside specialist centres, and it means more heirloom pieces can be returned to service than would otherwise be possible.

Clear Written Documentation

Every restoration begins with a written plan describing the work, the components involved, and the estimated cost. This document is signed by both parties before work starts. Owners keep a copy. Clarity from the start prevents misunderstandings at the end.

Calibre-Specific Lubrication

Different lubricants are specified for different parts of different movements. We maintain a full range of horological oils and greases and apply each according to the manufacturer's original recommendation where available, and established professional practice where not.
